Geography Teacher

Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a Geography Teacher, to be placed at an excellent independent school within the Wolverhampton area.
Duties will include:
Being a consistently enthusiastic classroom practitioner with a strong ability to share your passion for learning about Geography
Building competencies in the physical environment, human environment, geographical applications and skills
Creating lesson plans that are appropriate for each age group, to prepare, deliver and review lessons and other activities to ensure the effective progress of assigned students in the agreed specifications
Developing resources, materials and schemes of work which meet the needs of individual students
To set regular and relevant homework, learning and assessment which enable students to take responsibility for their own learning as well as promoting a high standard of behaviour, test and assignments to support and consolidate learning
Qualifications Required:
The post will suit equally a newly or recently qualified teacher (ECT's are welcome to apply)
Experience of planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating teaching and learning
The ability to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject area and the ability to provide timely, accurate and effective feedback on learners' attainment
Start/closing dates: September - December 2024.
