History Teacher

Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a History Teacher, to be placed at a good school within the Wolverhampton area.
Duties will include:
Having a good subject knowledge and a clear understanding of creative and effective teaching and learning
Creating lesson plans that are appropriate for each age group, to prepare, deliver and review lessons and other activities to ensure the effective progress of assigned students in the agreed specifications
Developing resources, materials and schemes of work which meet the needs of individual students
Set regular and relevant homework, learning and assessment which enable students to take responsibility for their own learning as well as promoting a high standard of behaviour, test and assignments to support and consolidate learning
Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate will possess a Teaching qualification (ECT's are welcome to apply) preferably in History
Experience of planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating teaching and learning
The ability to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject area and the ability to provide timely, accurate and effective feedback on learners' attainment
Start/closing dates: September 2024 - July 2025 to cover maternity leave
Interview dates: as soon as possible
